
Mafalda Miranda
Mafalda Miranda is a PhD student in Earth Sciences at Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS), Centre Eau Terre Environnement, in Québec City, Canada. Her project is entitled “Assessment of the deep geothermal energy potential in a remote community of northern Québec: the case study of Kuujjuaq, Canada”. This research project intends to study the technical and economic feasibility of using deep geothermal resources to provide heating power for the remote communities of northern Québec, with Kuujjuaq as a case study. The student as a bachelor’s degree in Geology and a master’s degree in Geosciences by University of Coimbra, Portugal.
