The cost of electricity production from the solar sector is constantly decreasing. It is now more competitive than nuclear, coal and even natural gas, in many jurisdictions. Due to its high-speed deployment and its flexibility, this sector allows different business models, from the large production fleet to demand reduction or by industrial and residential behind the meter production, not to forget the cooperative models. Will the arrival of new players in Quebec stimulate this sector? How could the transition of historical importers of Quebec's large hydraulic production change the dynamic?
